First off, this looks like a lot of fun. Secondly to the comment above me, I think you may be missing necrotic ooze; Pili-pala and Viridian Joiner do nothing by themselves. Speaking of my favorite scarecrow, you list Pili-pala as a combo, but it's not in the decklist. What would you suggest replacing for it?

@Derleth: Thank you! You are correct, I'm certain that comment was implying Nooze is on the battlefield and the other cards were in the GY. I took out the infinite mana combo but left it in the description in case someone wants to add it in. I would recommend keeping Pili-Pala but if you have to replace it you can put in any creature that has an untap symbol in the activated ability cost. Thanks for looking!

Squirrel_of_War I just built a variant of it that is mostly the same minus some stuff I can't find at my LGS. The main thing I am concerned with was the land count. Most dredgy decks I see run some of the more expensive cards to recur them (Crucible of Worlds, etc.). Without much land recursion, do you ever get mana screwed?

Derleth mana screw will happen to every deck at some point no matter what. With this build the land count is 33 at the moment and there are 6 cards that "ramp" in some way so I count them each as .5 of a land so basically the deck is running 36 lands kind of. The next thing to consider is that the high end of the curve is 7 (which would be needed to cast Jarad and use his ability if I'm not holding some sort of protection) which can actually be paid over 2 turns so the most important thing is getting to 4 mana to cast Jarad or Nooze and then combo same or next turn. With 39 mana sources and a curve that actually averages lower than it is showing due to primarily reanimating creatures I feel the decks mana count is working for me. I will be doing some more testing this weekend and I'll post on here how that goes.

Also, 8 of the 14 "dredgers" can either let you keep a land or can get you one back from the GY so that helps too.

I just finished sleeving it up and am gonna play it at my LGS before pre-release tonight. It's a playstyle I've never tried before (I don't do a lot of graveyard shenanigans). Looks like a lot of fun!
