Illusive games RCQ —Oct. 6, 2023
First RCQ of the year and first RCQ with this deck. Round 1: 0-2 Izzet Murkttide. Sucks losing the Mirror, Flooded out game 1 and Mulled and kept a bad hand in game 2 Round 2: 2-0 Golgari Food. Overall breezed right right through this one. Round 3: 2-1 Twittle Belcher. Neat deck and super close match. Barely won, this is where the 1 drops and counterspells matter the most. Round 4: 0-2 Rakdos Scam. Got scam griefed game 1, sucks cause I could've stopped it if I was on the play. Game 2 I flooded hard and had no chance. Round 5: 2-0 Burn. Happy to see this match up, over all pretty smooth here.
3-2. No top 8. 12 place. Event capped at 32. Overall the worst part was that I was 0-5 in die rolls which felt horrible, but managing to 3-2 regardless is good.

in my experience Subtlety is kind of lackluster in murktide and I think it would be better to go up to 18 lands or switch it for Brazen Borrower

hi IXALAN_Crazy. the lorien revealed acts as an extra land. as for subtlety, its pretty good atm. good against scam in particular but also great against things like titan and tron , horrible against cascade tho. i used to have borrower in that slot but the 1 toughness just really sucks atm
