Massacar Totally agree, Ozolith, the Shattered Spire is on the maybeboard along with Benevolent Hydra and Contagion Engine, all 3 of which will add a lot to the deck! Unfortunately all 3 of them are expensive by my standards, but fortunately the friend who is helping me build this deck is going to trade me for them once she visits this summer! So for now I'm keeping them out of the main deck since I don't actually own any of them, but with the plan that all 3 are ending up in the deck soon! <3

Venser, Corpse Puppet definitely adds a lot less, but has the advantage of being a 20 cent card :)

audaciousrose I think you did a terrific job of remapping my deck under a budget! I really like some of the substitutions you made, and if I didn't already have some other options in place I would totally steal them myself.

One thought, I would personally consider dropping Venser, Corpse Puppet in favor of Ozolith, the Shattered Spire. I just feel that since you're getting regular proliferation triggers, the additive effect of the Ozolith will be more beneficial than the lifelink trigger or making the small legendary golem token. Plus your CMC will remain the same.

There used to be several years ago..

I'm a strictly paper kind of guy, but I haven't gotten around to taking this on its "maiden's voyage" yet. I haven't played much Standard since the original Innistrad rotated out.

When I was putting this together, I had seen some sideboards with a copy of Venser, Corpse Puppet. Though I really wasn't sure why? Is it for extra blockers versus Aggro?

Wish there was more Standard on this site. Do you play standard digitally or in paper? In my area sadly standard has been completely fazed out of events. Also, Venser, Corpse Puppet could be a spicy option here.
