Unfortunately no, Slaughter the string is just about the best removal in the deck. Other than that, there's Settle the Wreckage . It's one sided removal that's pretty good for you. Only downside is that in this particular matchup, you're probably facing a bunch of little creatures so that's a lot of ramp you've just given them... I guess you could also run Uncomfortable Chill . Buys you a turn and cantrips.

You want way more advisors. You can cut the Uncomfortable Chill and some Waterknot s.

Vodalian Arcanist will help you have the mana for your counters. Wizard's Retort is the same as cancel but better if you chose to add any wizards to the deck.You might sideboard Mistcaller for token decks. Uncomfortable Chill also helps with swarm decks. Time of Ice might buy you some time.
