Hey, thanks for the suggestions :)

The Prophet is in there just for casual games, but would ofc be rotated for something else in a serious environment.

Rogue's Passage is an excellent suggestion, even with the colorless mana downside. Will obtain.

Lightning Greaves... Well, everyone has it, and I'm not much of a fan of shroud, either... :D

Noble Hierarch has been in my sights for ages, but it's a) extremely hard to come by, b) super costly. Maybe one day, though. (Fingers crossed for a non-Vault reprint).

I like your deck, Shane. Completely different take on Rafiq. Very cool! You should consider more cards like Infiltrate or Teleport to really let Rafiq do what he does best :)

kengiczar on new ur

To be fair, I really like how Gideon keeps seeming more and more Brutish as far as his combat goes. I really enjoyed his growth and experience leading the allies on the march to Sea Gate. Those were some of the best MTG related short stories I've ever read.

I just thought this UR he seemed especially Smug, which annoys me, in addition to how they made him respond to Jace being attacked. It's like his character development took a 180 this UR and ultimately only served to shorten Ob Nxilis' part of the story.

I guess I was hoping that Gideon was a little more free-thinking. Somebody with enough of a World View to try and reason with Ob Nixilus, whom up to this point, Gideon has had very little interaction with.

Demons in the WotC Universe are usually universally hated and reviled but Ob Nixilis has shown a clever understanding of tactics, restraint, and patience. At this point we are free to speculate that he also has some amount of tolerance* but we'll never know by how Gideon just charged up in there.

To be clear, Jace just charged into Ob's mind recklessly. Gideon in this case is more the aggressor when it comes down to a 1v1 level between Ob Nixilis and Gideon.

I'm not asking Gideon to just do nothing and watch Jace die but Gideon could have talked Ob Nixilis into leaving before it's to late and all of the walkers fell into Kozilek's grasp, or Just grabbed Jace, and had Jace use Teleport or something.
