Ramp comes from Rampant Growth. It's mtg game lingo as much as saying Murder for any single-target creature kill spell.

I use ramp and don't see mana people use acceleration. Though, it doesn't really matter one way or another as long as every knows what your referring to.

Referring to previous comment on cEDH being it's own format:

This or just considered 'above' or 'outside' the bracket system seems like a good idea. I think the system we currently have is only marginally better than the 1-10 system. Now, instead of most players saying, 'it's about a 7,' now they say, 'it's bracket 3.' They could/should break bracket 3 into two brackets more a bit more clarity.

I think he used Lotus Petal to get to three mana. He was then able to cast Excalibur for free. Honestly, I'm not sure on the rest. I doubt he was cheating but I was mostly just a bit stunned at the absurdity that was happening. I expected him to win even after being set back, just not in two turns.

I know at one point he played Kozilek which refilled his hand and ultimately had a bunch of mana rocks by the time the game ended. It's possible it wasn't 20 permanents but it was a silly amount of cardboard.
