This looks like a very cool deck! I was recently trying to build something like this. If I read your description it plays really well? Don't you find yourself playing too few removal and ramp? And can you keep up with your recursion against the removal of all opponents??

Possible suggestions could be: Razaketh, the Foulblooded; he's big and he can tutor your next plan. Archfiend of Despair it's just a nasty beater. Maybe the The Scarab God for even more reanimation? And I figured if your commander gets stolen or let's say turned into an 3/3 Elk (Yes Oko, we've all been there) cards that do the same are for example Krovikan Sorcerer and Rona, Herald of Invasion  ^Flip Sorry, you've asked for cuts. I really can't help you with that yet...

What about instead of the Drannith Bros. you used something like Cunning Survivor and a " rummage " effect?

1. something like Faithless Salvaging , Epiphany Storm
2. or make use of creatures that rummage on ETB like Fissure Wizard (fun card name to say lol)
3. or Flux
4. Krovikan Sorcerer 's second ability looks kinda promising
5. Mental Discipline is not a creature, but would need lots of mana. Oona's Grace would also be repeatable once it hits your graveyard, but it's still mana-hungry.
6. Also note that if your use Brainstorm you could set up your draw, allowing you to use all the blue spells that draw THEN discard like Zephyr Scribe

That's all I could think of so far. Does that help inspire anybody, or am I reaching like usual? Maybe cram it all together and with all that draw you're bound to get Cunning Survivor in a reasonable amount of time?

PDH needs a good grixis control deck.

I like a lot of the elements in your deck; mass discard, ETB creatures, board wipes and some of the most effective card draw and removal in Pauper.

Now, being in Blue and Black, I wonder about some of your card draw choices. You seem to play a lot of the rummaging spells like Cathartic Reunion when you could just be playing better Divination effects. Artificer's Epiphany seenms like a solid choice since you have a good number of artifacts. Compulsive Research is excellent for raw card draw. If you're going to rummage, you might as well be looting... for free. Frantic Search is great. I am not sure you run enough islands for it, but Gush is a busted card to have if you can pull it off. You could also run Hypothesizzle which does a lot of what you want to be doing. This deck in particular might be a good home for Krovikan Sorcerer. Also, no Mulldrifter? It seems perfect for this deck! I've been Probed a few more times then I'd like and I think your opponents would feel the same way. Tragic Lesson has a pretty soft drawback that you can actually take advantage of. Rhystic Study should be in your maindeck!

There's tons of good card draw out there, so it would be pretty easy to replace Cathartic Reunion, Wild Guess, Scarscale Ritual Tormenting Voice, Thrill of Possibility and Funeral Rites with basically strict upgrades.

So your main win condition is to kill the opponent with Commander damage on an empty board? You're scraping the bottom of the barrel for equipment to get there. Cranial Plating would be an excellent option for you. Copper Carapace is just as good as Vulshok Morninstar since you probably won't do much blocking and it can also be fetched with Trinket Mage. Giant's Skewer seems like it could be good with your first-striking commander. Neurok Stealthsuit is pretty much an auto-include in my deck as soon as I play Blue. Lastly Vorrac Battlehorns is great on a first-strike Creature and prevents you from being gang-blocked or chump-blocked, which is often equal to (or better than) a Bonesplitter effect.

There are sixteen spells with Madness in those colors as well. Lots of discard can you get from looting, too. Krovikan Sorcerer could do good work in this deck.

Great decklist. I played a non-budget Damia as my first EDH deck. She can be a house in a meta that is not prepared for her. I really like your take, as the spellshapers are a really nice addition. Many of the things in this list can be upgraded from a small increase in the cost, but the spellshapers are a really nice addition that should always stay budget.

From the deck overview video, seems like more ramp and more card draw from other sources may be a good idea. For spellshapers, I would suggest Llanowar Mentor and Krovikan Sorcerer. Both are able to progress your game early and could overcome those problems that we saw during the three games highlighted.

Anyway, +1 from my. Great job again.
