Would damage be split between two Stuffy Doll/Pariah/Guilty Conscience?

Asked by boneknitter 7 years ago

Say I have two Stuffy Doll on the field, both with Pariah and Guilty Conscience attached to them, and I would then take 12 damage for example. Would both dolls take 12 damage, or would the damage then be split between the two dolls?

Neither.

Assuming your 12 damage is one instance of damage (e.g., you got Fireballed for 12 damage), then you would choose one of the available replacement effects to apply. Once you apply one Pariah's replacement effect, the other would not be able to apply because the damage would no longer be dealt to you. It would be dealt to the Stuffy Doll whose Pariah effect was applied.

If, however, there were multiple sources of damage (say, for example, that you were attacked by two unblocked 6/6es), then you could redirect one instance of damage to one Stuffy Doll and the other instance of damage to the other Stuffy Doll.

The damage is never duplicated. You can't turn 12 damage to you into 12 damage to each of your Stuffy Dolls.
