What is an entering the battlefield trigger?

i have a Hushwing Gryff on the battlefield, and I play Rocket-Powered Turbo Slug . Do I have to pay it's mana cost the next turn? Thanks!
P.s. This is my first time using the questions and answers section, so please tell me if I did something wrong in stating it.

A "enter the battlefield" trigger is any ability that has the words 'when X enters the battlefield' like in the case of AEther Adept or Intruder Alarm which would be prevented by the ability of Hushwing Gryff . In the case of Rocket-Powered Turbo Slug that is not an enters the battlefield ability so you would have to pay the cost
