Using 2 PW abilities with the same PW name

Asked by Icbrgr 6 years ago

During playtesting I came across a scenario that I have not seen before...

If I have Tibalt, the Fiend-Blooded on the board with 4 and then play his -4 bringing him down to 0. Once he is put into the graveyard can I then cast another Tibalt and then use the new Tibalt's +1 on the same turn?

"You can use one of these abilities whenever you could play a sorcery, and only if none of that Planeswalker's abilities have been played yet that turn."

Planswalker Rules

But because I would be activating a loyalty ability of a second Tibalt its a considered a new object (right?)...making it ok?

Object

Yes, that's fine. "That Planeswalker" means just that particular object, not the "character" or anything like that.

You could even return the Tibalt, the Fiend-Blooded from your graveyard to the battlefield and activate it again, as leaving the battlefield and returning makes the card a new object.
