This is a hard one..broken combo?

Ok I have sought an answer for this and so far nobody knows. I am wondering how this would work. I attack with Shimian Specter and the rules say choose a nonland card etc... If I play Mind Bend would I be able to change the nonland text to a basic land type?? If so then I've found a broken combo, but I tend to think you couldn't do this.
nope. nonland is not a basic land type, nor is is it a color word. You cannot replace it.

The color words are White, Blue, Black, Red, and Green. The basic land types are Plains, Island, Swamp, Mountain, and Forest. Shimian Specter 's text has none of these words, so Mind Bend doesn't interact with it at all.

No, you can't. You can only change text that already has a basic land type in it, like Arbor Elf 's "Forest" text. "Nonland" is the absence of land-type; not a type of basic land.
