Norin the Wary

Simple question that im pretty sure I know the answer to but I just want verified. Can Norin the Wary be used to cast legendary sorcery spells like Urza's Ruinous Blast or does his vanishing before resolving unchecked the requirement?
On a side note... Is there even a way to kill Norin???

The requirement on legendary sorceries is only a casting requirement. Once the spell is cast it doesn't matter if your legendary permanent continues to be on the battlefield.
