Man-O'-War

Asked by lotusofblackness 9 years ago

I have an Animar, Soul of Elements EDH deck, and the card Man-o'-War is in it. If I have a bunch of lands out, and cast Man-o'-War , can I repeatedly bounce him to my hand over and over again (if I pay the mana) to give Animar a bunch more counters???

Example:

Cast Man-o'-War , bounce Man-o'-War , Animar gets a counter, cast Man-o'-War , bounce Man-o'-War , Animar gets a counter, cast Man-o'-War , bounce Man-o'-War , Animar gets a counter, and so on and so forth.

Because Man-o'-War doesn't say "another target creature", it's a legal target for its own ability. You can cast a spell at any appropriate time as long as you're able to pay for it, so your idea works.

As Rhadamanthus said your idea works, however i would like to clarify the order in which the sequence would happen. it is going to be:
