Does Snickering Squirrel need to be untapped to use its effect?

Asked by Epidilius 6 years ago

I ask because it doesn't specify that it needs to be untapped on the card, and it doesn't use the tap symbol either.

Does this mean I can add an infinite amount to any die rolls?

No you cannot add an infinite amount as the cost does technically still has to paid, and in this case it is that you may tap the card, if it is already tapped it cannot be tapped again unfortunately.

If that is the case, you could also tap a tapped creature to crew a Vecicle. Since it doesn't say "untapped" in the rules text. I think this is just a shortcut in the wording that Wizards has decided to start using.
