Displacement Wave and Hangarback Walker

If I cast a Displacement Wave does it work similar to the way the Ratchet Bomb did with tokens and how does it affect Hangarback Walker? will 1UU, 1 as x be enough to put it back in the hand of opponent or do i need to use at minimum 2 as my x since the casting cost of hangarback is XX?

When calculating converted mana cost,
is treated as 0 everywhere except while the card is on the stack and another value has been declared for X.
Hangarback Walker and its tokens all have CMC 0.
