Can I tap Kari's stolen creature for crew before the fling?

Let's say I have Consulate Dreadnought on the battlefield. My opponent casts Traxos, Scourge of Kroog and then passes turn. On my turn, can I use Kari Zev's Expertise to steal Traxos, tap it to crew the dreadnought, and then use Kari's free spell to Fling Traxos back at them?
If so, that's the most pirate thing I've ever heard. Please let it be so.

no, you cannot do that. the card's effect has to fully resolve before any player gets priority to add anything else to the stack. casting a spell for free with an expertise is part of the cards resolution. you would have to cast your free spell before you could do anything at all with the creature you take.
