Beginning of upkeep: Progenitor Mimic & Descendants' Path/Call to the Kindred

If I cast/put on the battlefield the mimic copying a creature at the beginning of my upkeep, does the mimic's "at the beginning of your upkeep" ability trigger? If not, does it have to be on the battlefield before the beginning of my upkeep to trigger?

All triggered abilities that trigger "at the beginning of X step or phase" trigger at once when the step or phase begins and anything that enters the battlefield after that time will not trigger until the next applicable step or phase.
