You may now link to and suggest cards while leaving comments on a deck. Better still, the deck owner can Accept your request, raising your status in the community =)

Instead of the normal cardlink, [ [ Card Name ] ], do [ [ suggestion: Card Name ] ]

How exactly does it raise the suggestors "status in the community"? Is it related to the points one accumulates on the site? If so, have those been revamped as well? They always seemed a little bugged (based on questions regarding them) and I've never understood them.

You can earn a rank on the site? I didn't even know that existed.

What's the limit on number of suggestions per post? I tend to make one-post lists of potential additions whenever I comment on an EDH deck.

7

Is there a plan to increase that limit at some point? 7 isn't a whole lot.

I'm going to suggest a billion cards on all my decks, accept them all and become a Pokemon Master.

I'd say 10. Just to say 'Hey, Here is how you could overhaul your deck..."

Well, when I help someone on an EDH deck the list can grow to as many as 50 cards. Other decks usually require/produce fewer suggestions.

Also, some of the suggested cards are odd. I don't think anyone who posted suggested any of them because they aren't even in my colors (my BUG EDH deck was getting suggestions for Selesnyan cards that I can't even legally play in the deck).

I've gotten 5 black "suggestions" for my mono red edh deck. Kinda wondering what is generating them.

Some bug. If anyone finds a pattern its worth tokens. Something is rotten.

For my mono red and green decks I am getting auto suggestions and normal card suggestions that are not legal for that type of deck.

I think what is going on is that it is auto sugesting upon which cards others have included with cards in the deck.

Like the mono red, probably those cards suggested have been included in a Mono-red labled deck that isn't mono red or as been used frequently with a card in the deck that is creating the auto suggestion.

I hope that made sense.

I notice that after dismissing the first wave of erroneous suggestions, no new suggestions have been made to replace them.

Same as well. I had a casual Bant color pie that was getting both red and black suggestions. All standard.

I've definitely left posts on EDH decks that have exceeded 100 card tags. 7 seems so small.

Yeah, 7 is tiny... 100 seems excessive, though. I would assume that suggestions take up more server resources than simple text. My most recent post I would have liked to have had 12, so I tried splitting the post into two, but that didn't work either. 20 seems like a good limit to me. Beyond that, you're probably rambling and overwhelming them anyways.

I tried to suggest cards twice today, and both times I got the "That's kinda too many suggestions" error with only one suggestion in my post. The weird thing is that though clicking "Preview" and "Post" didn't make the error message go away, waiting about a minute and then clicking "Post" again made it go through.

hmmm. that problem still eh?

@metalmagic: you're not a pokemon master yet? Newb.

I eventually gave up on trying to use the suggestion tag because the form blocks me every time. On the rare occasion jamming on "Preview" actually gives me a page without the error message, "Post" brings me right back to the big red box.

weird. I hadn't realized this problem was still occuring. Yet others seem to get through without incident. I'll throw it back on the stack.
