However, none of these archetypes are from Amonkhet, except maybe zombies. So yay for bans I guess

Although nothing has a Amonkhet card in the name most definitely doesn't mean there aren't Amonkhet cards in the deck list.

McSleuthburger,
Yeah Omaha was not exactly the paragon of diversity. Ah well, it's still soooooooo nice to see a variety of decks at the top of (most of) the charts!

Boza,
And your point is ... ?

I mean UW Flyers and UR Control have been archetypes since Alpha. That doesn't detract from the fact that we may finally have a diverse Standard again.

My point is that Wizards have designed a set with so far near 0 impact on standard. There are a few Dissenter's Deliverance and Dispossess in the lists, but that is about the extent of Amonkhet on standard this weekend. Two points arise from this:

1/ bans > good design
2/ kaladesh block has too high of a power level.3/ They may be banning more from it.

Boza,
If you're saying that Amonkhet has had zero impact on Standard, that's simply wrong. 16% of the cards in Standard right now are from Amonkeht. and 14% of the cards in the Top 8s of last weekend's GPs are from Amonkhet. That's almost exactly what we'd hope to see form a well-balanced set.

I totally agree with you though that the power level of Kaladesh was too high. Kaladesh is also 16% of the cards in Standard, but it was 43% of the cards in the Top 8s last weekend. But AKH isn't under-represented (OGW, SOI, and EMN are).

The details are here if you're interested.
