ashes-to-the-fallen + Haakon, Stromgald Scourge what do you guys think about this?

They do seem to have good synergy, but I'm not sure if it's worth it. Ashes of the Fallen would become a dead card if you don't have Haakon, Stromgald Scourge out. And if you're relying on Ashes of the Fallen to turn creatures in your graveyard into knights, then Haakon, Stromgald Scourge isn't very good without it. Removing one would destroy the combo and be detrimental to a deck built around the combo.

That being said, the perfect creature to add to this combo is Fleshbag Marauder .

I like the idea of this combo, but as you stated if they remove one card the combo goes to waste. I would worry about removal that exiles your cards. One O-ring, or path, or even journey, all things that kill your combo. How would you handle those answers?

Why, he'd use Dash Hopes , of course.

Kidding.

Very interesting combo, but Haakon seems rather fragile. Hell, a single lightning bolt could wipe him out.

Definitely needs some protection, but not something I'd be opposed to using (all I play is casual though...)

well as for the bolt you could just cast him again... as for the remove from game that would take some more thought maybe splash some blue for counters
