I had an idea today.

I've played a lot of games where I get an instant in my hand, and I want to keep it, but don't have room for it. Thinking about this gave me an idea... : What if it could have Morph?

It would be so awesome if they could make new instants that could be played face-down as a 2/2 creature or whatever... and then when there's time for it... you could just play the instant. It could also work with crappy instants, just for the 'flash' ability... in case you need a quick blocker...

Ideas?

As far as I know, this has never happened before, but it came close in Planar Chaos with Lumithread Field . But that series was just effed up to begin with. Maybe the 2012 set will take place... in the 'Aftermath of the Eldrazi'? IDK.

... 2012... in the sense that Instants with Morph is crazy enough to belong in a set that takes place in the aftermath that the Eldrazi created...

I need to stop posting...

The precedent for Morph on cards other than creatures has already been set with Lumithread Field , Whetwheel and Zoetic Cavern . Although those are permanents, we've seen Landfall go on non-permanent cards in Worldwake, so if they decide to revisit Morph one day, I wouldn't be too surprised to see it on an instant or sorcery.

It's time to D-D-D-!

No, I like the idea a lot, hopefully someone in R&D is working on it.

The problem that you might run into is that Morph doesn't use the stack. Then again, they can just patch the rules. It's not like they seem to mind making things more complicated.

@Dr_Mcmeen

Then why did they get rid of the combat stack? RAGES

Sorry... Im still bitter...

They got rid of the combat stack because a Mogg Fanatic slept with Richard Garfield's daughter.

Hm. Sporkife's idea reminds me very strongly of Evoke, only with a delay. The mechanics would work, though.

"They got rid of the combat stack because a Mogg Fanatic slept with Richard Garfield's daughter."

Is officially the greatest thing that has been posted on this site. Ever.
