Rancor versus Loxodon Warhammer?

I recently started building a life gain deck. All my cards are 2 mana or less with the exception of 7 cards. I was thinking Rancor Would be better for the quick play and how I could keep using it. But Loxodon Warhammer can clearly do more. The cons would be the equip cost, mana cost, and it won't come back like rancor!
If you expect to be playing against Naturalize effects, Rancor is better.
If you expect to be playing against removal, Loxodon Warhammer is better.
Note that if you kill the creature in response to Rancor being cast then Rancor goes to the graveyard for good since its recursion only happens from the battlefield.

Well if it's lifegain then do most of the creatures already have lifelink? Cause if then Rancor for sure

If your deck is already full of cheap spells, stick with Rancor. You can keep your land count down, since you won't need to spend 6 mana over two turns like with Loxodon Warhammer.
The Warhammer could be good against certain aggressive decks (Burn, for instance), where you may not be fast enough to kill them before they kill you. The Lifelink would be helpful to slow down them down, and the +3/+0 would speed you up. I'd put it in the sideboard, probably.

It would help to know what format of deck you're talking about, but given the information provided, go with the Rancor.

I'd go with Rancor. It comes back, and only costs 1 mana as opposed to 6. Not worth it just for +1 more power and lifelink.
