Being powerful while still being fun to play against

Hey everyone, I've looked to make my Karametra, God of Harvests deck as strong as possible while avoiding unfun combos and cards. This means avoiding infinite damage, land destruction, Iona, Shield of Emeria , etc. Keeping this in mind, do you have any suggestions to make the deck stronger without introducing anything I listed above? I've made a full primer explaining combos, card choices, and weaknesses. I know a lot of people struggle with this concept, and I don't want to cross a line in my playgroup. I'd appreciate any suggestions, thanks. http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/commanding-from-the-throne-of-abundance/

Not sure what you could add to be powerful without being what some might consider degenerate, but some thing you could do to not be as powerful while still having a strong deck is drop some of the tutors. The effect here is twofold: 1, it decreases your deck's consistency a little bit, and 2, allows you to fit in more cards that are on-theme with your strategy that you might not being playing. I've slowly done this over time with my Meren deck. I've taken out some of the powerful tutors, but still run some that are more on-theme with the sacrifice/death triggers in the deck.

This might not be the answer you're looking for, but I hope it helps somewhat.

I fully agree, running little to no tutors forces you to look into cross synergies and doesn't feel bad when you do go off if you naturally draw into the pieces for a combo. Personally I don't mind infinite combos as games need to end, as long as the pieces aren't being aggressively tutored for. That forces you to play the game instead of playing solitaire.
