Phyrexian altar and survival of the fittest —April 12, 2015
So yesterday I was at my lgs when a huge box of trade ins came through and I was able to find a Phyrexian Altar and a Survival of the Fittest among the value.
the corresponding cuts for this update will be:
Fauna Shaman - This seems like a natural progression that this would turn into Survival of the Fittest as it is faster to use. Fauna Shamans removal doesn't concern me to greatly when it comes to the Birthing Pod curve.
Chromatic Lantern with the land base comprised of multiple cycles of fast dual lands and mana filters I feel this card became a very weak ramp spell when compared to the ramp spells in the deck. I feel like Phyrexian Altar has earned this slot over lantern as it completes a few incomplete combos around marath will of the wild as well as offers good mana ramp when I have creatures to spare.
Thats just about all the changes for now! Natural order and duals seem like the only real requirements I have for the deck now besides changing basics from zendikar lands to un-basics.
