GR food deck - honestly I love this deck theme so freaking much! Very fun and consistent deck. Game plan included below individual card justifications. Constructive comments welcome!

Individual card justifications:

Enchantments:

4 Overcooked - creates value engine, crux of deck, Elvish Archivist draw/buff

4 Food Fight - adds consistency to crux of deck, Elvish Archivist draw

3 Night of the Sweets' Revenge - Overcooked celeb proc, Elvish Archivist draw/buff, turns foods into land base, ramps deck to late game state early

4 Welcome to Sweettooth - Overcooked celeb proc (1), Elvish Archivist draw(1)/buff(2), creates early board presence

2 Spiteful Banditry - damage based board wipe, Overcooked celeb proc, Elvish Archivist draw/buff if it survives the wipe, makes treasure token kill chain with a strong enough food fight count (sac a Treasure to kill opponent creature which generates a Treasure)

3 Yotia Declares War - Overcooked celeb proc (1), Elvish Archivist draw(1)/buff(1), early removal (2)

Creatures:

3 Peregrin Took - maximizes Food token production, sub valuable card draw, major removal target

4 Elvish Archivist - draw engine and growing body, main tempo engine, major removal target

4 Haywire Mite - Artifact/Enchantment removal, acts like a 1 cmc Food for most cases, Elvish Archivist buff, negligible removal target

3 Tough Cookie - 2x 1 cmc Food value , Overcooked celeb proc, Elvish Archivist buff, Food animate sink, minor removal target

Sorcery:

3 Many Partings - 1 cmc Food value, Elvish Archivist buff, land/mana curve fixing

Land:

3 The Shire - land that makes Food, keeps tempo going in stall situation

Deck game plan: (WIP)

Early:

  1. make Food tokens
  2. create life disparity (either by gaining life w/Food or dealing damage, maybe both!)

3a. ex. aggro play

T1: Forest, Many Partings

T2: Mountain, Welcome to Sweettooth

T3: any land, Tough Cookie

T4: Welcome to Sweettooth resolves, the 1/1 is now a 6/6, any land, animate Food for 3 cmc, swing for 12 dmg across 6/6, 4/4, 2/2.

Mid:

  1. Build Food Fight!! Usually by laying down 1-2 Overcookeds, maybe a stray Food Fight card. Note: against Aggro decks I don't recommend playing Overcooked early as you may need to heal w/Food and outlast their initial rush.

  2. Control the board state, using Spiteful Banditry and Food Fight Food to eliminate threats if they prove to be faster than your current food engine, avoid the urge to play as many enchantments as possible per turn while Elvish Archivist is on the field, save the mana for Food Fight to kill their problem creatures or to lower their life total. Spiteful Banditry can generate Treasure on your turn AND the opponent(s) turn so spread the kills out to maximize the Treasure.

Late:

  1. Food Fight Food to the face, once you've hit:

Food Fight x3 you are usually just 5 Food and 10 cmc away from simply dealing lethal damage to their life total.

Food Fight x4 you are usually just 4 Food and 8 cmc away from simply dealing lethal damage to their life total.

Food Fight x5 you are usually just 3 Food and 6 cmc away from simply dealing lethal damage to their life total.

Food Fight x6 you are usually just 3 Food and 6 cmc away from simply dealing lethal damage to their life total.

Past Food Fight x6 you are likely better off just generating food tokens by any means necessary and keeping mana open for dealing lethal damage

This win condition is also easier to hit if you've been able to whittle down their life in the early game. Night of the Sweets' Revenge also has a hypothetical win con in its buff effect, though this will rarely be used to win, Ornithopter 0/2 C sometimes makes this a sneaky flyer kill.

Food Lands to consider:

Gingerbread Cabin (2?), nice in late game because if you top deck this, its at least a free food.

Restless Cottage - hesitant on this one, it is a good aggro addition, but it needs to attack which opens it up to block kills and simple removal, also have to fit Black mana in to the mana base
