Strand of night —Aug. 10, 2019

Out: Courser of Kruphix in: Strands of Night

A friend told me about Strands of Night, decided to give it a try! I feel Courser of Kruphix is just not that impactfull.

One card that works extremely well in a lands matter deck is Storm Cauldron. Put this card out once you have a few other extra lands per turn cards out and you’ll hardly be bothered by lands returning to your hand. Play them all again and get lots and lots more landfall triggers. While you are doing this your opponents will be slowed down to a crawl because of only being able to play 2 lands per turn while every card they cast will return those lands to their hands. I’m actually surprised I don’t see more lands matter decks with the cauldron in it.

Thanks for the advice KayneMarco. Sure does look like a hell of card. Might actually consider playing this. What would you cut though?

KayneMarco didn’t know how to tag. Pleas read above.

If it were me, I would take out the Ulvenwald Hydra. If it had trample then it might’ve deserved a spot but all it takes is a chump blocker to stop him. If you’re wanting a way to take out flyers then check out this card: Spitting Spider. This will take out most flyers by sacking 5-6 lands, which you can get back from the yard anyways.

Mhh that’s actualy a pretty good idea. Although tutoring a land with Ulvenwald Hydra AND having a big butt + reach is what I’m mostly after. I’ll definitely check it out and play test it for a bit.

Thanks for your input!
