The new AER card, Gonti's Machinations, may be the first viable Bolt effect in a while(likely since Vexing Devil and Thunderous Wrath) and the most underrated Bolt effect since Sudden Shock.

While it is waiting to blow up, it will deter your opponent's attacks, until around 1-3 turns after it is cast, a fetchland/shockland/free card will give you the second energy counter. You blow it up and drain 3 from your opponents. I will do further testing on this new card, because it has real potential. It might be like Thunderous Wrath(which never really worked for me in my testing), or it could be more successful than I dreamed, but nevertheless it deserves a thought from any Rakdos(like me), Jund, or Mardu burn player.
