Ashling is BACK!!! —Jan. 18, 2016
The Equipment that I added has been an invaluable addition to Ashling. Most impressive are the artifacts that keep Ashling from dying (Sword of Fire and Ice, Magebane Armor, Sword of War and Peace, and Darksteel Plate) when she "pops", it saves you a whole turn to recast her. Second would be life gain, Ashling gets lots of hate and she also deals damage to her controller, so life total is critical.
I am not sure if it is bad luck or if I need to keep tweaking the deck, but I am still trying to figure out card advantage in this deck. Ashling doesn't win fast and it doesn't take long to run out of cards and get "wrathed" back to the stone age with no way to rebuild. Some of the newest card advantage additions are Graveyard based, because red card advantage is hard to come by.
Controlling the board has been going better than expected, but I am still tweaking this part as well.
In conclusion, the equipment has been good so far, still tweaking the card advantage and board control, still experimenting with the lands, and I am still unhappy with nearly every creature in this deck.
