Trading and testing —Jan. 25, 2020
Did a little trading last night, and managed to get a Rite of Replication and Temple of Mystery, so out goes Simic Guildgate, and Deathsprout to make room for them.
The land is just a straight upgrade, and I was struggling to use Dsprout or find good targets, and the ability to duplicate so many copies of something on the table is highly desirable with RoR, so in it goes.
In the tester game the deck performed very very well, copying an Ensnaring Bridge and getting great card advantage from the Generous Patron (and an ally) by using Forgotten Ancient to make +1/+1 tokens and then moving them to soilder tokens for another player. With Volrath kicking out a -1/-1 token as well, this was an extra 3 cards drawn per turn.
Ended up in a bit of a stalemate Vs the enchantment deck till I tutored up a Acidic Slime and began to copy it enough times to break past the wall of things stopping me attacking.
All in all think the deck needs more tweaking, but is doing well as a battlecruiser style thing :)
