Wayta, Trainer Prodigy

Legendary Creature — Human Warrior

Haste

, : Target creature you control fights another target creature. This ability costs less to activate if it targets two creatures you control. (Each deals damage equal to its power to the other.)

If a creature you control being dealt damage causes a triggered ability of a permanent you control to trigger, that ability triggers an additional time.

Stone Ramparts

Artifact - Fortification

Fortify .

Whenever Stone Ramparts fortifies a land, put 3 defense counters on that land.

Fortified land is a white Battle - Siege in addition to its other colors and types. It has "When this battle has no defense counters on it, sacrifice any fortifications attached to this land and you gain five life. Create three 0/4 walls with reach."

TypicalTimmy, Wayta, Trainer Prodigy's ability always targets two creatures. It costs less only if both creatures are under your control. This lets you use Enrage abilities on your creatures cheaply or remove opposing creatures by fighting them for . Hope this helps!

If the pain of my screwing up the Hard to Destroy Reptile is too great, create another SCP. Otherwise, make a Legendary Enchantment Creature - Siren.

So I don't understand Wayta, Trainer Prodigy's wording. She says that for , you can have target creature you control fight another target creature. That's great and all, but then it says the ability costs less to activate if it targets two creatures I control?

I'm having a seriously hard time grasping this.

So I pay and tap her to put the ability on the stack. Then, SOMEHOW despite it ONLY TARGETING ONE CREATURE I target... A SECOND CREATURE?? And now that I have ALREADY PAID FOR IT, it costs less??

So, in order for this to work, I'd have to pay AND THEN ACTIVATE IT targeting two creatures.

But what happens if after it goes on the stack AT A REDUCED COST, I can only target one creature?!?

This card literally makes no sense to me.

Please help :,3

Least I could do is fulfill the challenge after double-posting.

I am interested in building Wayta, Trainer Prodigy, but she confuses me. Her ability says it costs less if it targets two creatures, but it only allows it to target one? I don't understand how you pay for it, paying less, to target a second option, that isn't available upon activation?

Ferocious Armodon

Creature - Dinosaur

Lieutenant - As long as you control your commander, if a creature you control would fight, it fights up to one additional target creature.

Whenever Ferocious Armodon fights, put a +1/+1 counter on it.

"There is really no reason to devise mechanical plating for an Ankylosaurus, Huatli." - "This is true, Saheeli, but it'll be awesome."

I really like seeing what you did with the precon, fun to see a different take than mine in going with Gishath. I think it's a matter of personal preference, but I would cut Wayta, Trainer Prodigy, as you're not really leaning into the enrage mechanic.

If you want to go for more amazing dinosaurs, I'd absolutely recommend Bonehoard Dracosaur. It's not cheap, but if you're willing to invest it's absolutely worth it, as it packs (impulse) card draw, ramp and creates tokens in one card.
