Yurlok of Scorch Thrash & untapped lands

Hi, apologies as this is a slightly noob question and I only started playing since Theros so never encountered mana burn. If I'm running yurlok, alongside all the mana boosting enchantments etc, do people take 1 damage per land that isn't tapped at the end of their turn?
Thanks Ryu. So if I can find a a way to tap opponents lands will that count as creating mana for them which they then may not be able to use?

Forcing a land to tap won't alone be enough. A player would need to have mana that's floating in their mana pool disappear as a turn or phase ends in order for Yurlok to burn them.
If it helps, it's the same point at which Kruphix, God of Horizons would turn a player's mana colourless, that Yurlok would deal them damage.

Tapping a land just taps the land. Its not the same as activating the mana ability on the land.

Untapped lands are not unspent mana. Mana can’t be considered unspent if its not there to begin with, and untapped lands havent produced any mana.
