Why Isochron Scepter + Shrapnel Blast doesnt work?

Why with Goblin Grenade + Reverberate combo I have to sacrifice 1 creature (copy doesnt need sacrificing) and with Isochron Scepter + Shrapnel Blast I have to sacrifice an artifact each time I use it?

Isochron Scepter states that you can cast the exiled card without paying its mana cost. But sacrificing an artifact is an additional cost that isn't a mana cost. So you would still have to sac an artifact.
