When does Prized Amalgam trigger when milling multiple cards?

Asked by AcryiA 5 years ago

Just verifying a dredge ruling:Suppose a player casts Cathartic Reunion choosing to dredge three times instead of conducting normal draws. A Narcomoeba hits the graveyard on the first and second dredges, then a Prized Amalgam hits the yard on the third dredge.

Does the Prized Amalgam still trigger from the Narcomoebas entering the battlefield?

Yes, it does.

When abilities trigger during the resolution of another spell or ability, they wait until that spell/ability is finished resolving before actually being put onto the stack. In your example the triggers from both Narcomoebas will go onto the stack after you've completely finished resolving Cathartic Reunion and put it into the graveyard. This means that unless someone removes it in response, Prized Amalgam will be in the graveyard when the Narcomoebas enter the battlefield and its ability will trigger.
