What would be the result if Bloodletter of Aclazotz and Quietus Spike were on the field?

Say I have Bloodletter of Aclazotz and Quietus Spike equipped to a creature on the battlefield. The equipped creature gets through and damages the opponent. The opponent loses life from the attack then half their life from the effect from the Spike. Would Bloodletter of Aclazotz effect cause the opponent to lose life from only the damage from the creature or the sum of the attack and Quietus Spike's effect?

It will be the sum. This will kill the opponent, whatever life total they were on (unless they have some sneaky way to gain life between triggers).

Bloodletter of Aclazotz doesn't have a trigger, there is no "sneaky way to gain life between triggers". When the Quietus Spike trigger resolves they will lose half their life, rounded up then doubled. So either their life total, or their life total plus 1.

Thank you wallisface and Gidgetimer for the answers
