Vortex Elemental blocking anthems?

If I'm being attacked by a Ragemonger and Kragma Warcaller and I declare Vortex Elemental blocking Kragma Warcaller then activate his first ability, will the Ragemonger deal me 4 damage or 2 damage?

@lordoftheshadows: That's incorrect. Kragma Warcaller's ability is not a static ability. It is a triggered ability. Once the ability triggers, it exists independently of its source, and you can't nullify the ability by removing the source either before or after the ability resolves.
Ragemonger will get +2/+0 until end of turn, and it will deal 4 damage in combat because it will be a 4/3.

The amount of damage that a creature would deal is set at the beginning of the combat damage step. So you would have activated Vortex Elemental's abillity in the declare blockers step. That would mean that Ragemonger would deal 2 damage because Kragma Warcaller is no longer on the tabel an its ability doesn't effect anything now.
