Storm mechanic with Spellheart Chimera
Asked by Gnarbage 7 years ago
Hello, I am Gnarbage
I recently started playing magic the gathering and got myself a Mind vs Might duel deck to try out with a friend, but I got a question about the Storm mechanic that some of the cards have. When I cast 3 spells in one turn before I play a card that has Storm on it, means I get 3 copies of that spell, but do those copies count as individual spells that go to graveyard.
What I am trying to ask is do those copies of the Storm spell such as Empty the Warrens count in the power equalizaton of Spellheart Chimera ?
Sorry if it isn't clear enough my english is not very great

No. Spellheart Chimera says instant or sorcery card, and a copy is not a card. When a copy goes to the graveyard it also ceases to exist as a state based action, so not only does it jot count, b u t it won't be there very long.
