perylous myr and Myr Retriever dies at the same time, can they see each other and can I return perylous myr to my hand?

no other artifacts are in the graveyard.

That's incorrect, I believe.
Myr Retriever 's ability is a triggered ability that triggers when it's put into a graveyard. If it and Perilous Myr were put into the graveyard simultaneously - from a Wrath of God , say - then it triggers when the Retriever is put into the graveyard as part of the resolution of that spell, and is put on the stack next time priority is passed around. When it is, both Retriever and Perilous are already in the graveyard, so Perilous Myr is a valid target for the ability.
I'll do some more research to double check, but I'm reasonably certain about that.

Yes, you are correct. As they are both put into the graveyard simultaneously, when Myr Retriever 's triggered ability is put on the stack and asks for a target, Perilous Myr is already in the graveyard, ready for targeting.

The current accepted answer is incorrect. MagnorCriol's comment has the right answer.

if a tree falls in the woods and there's no one to hear it, does it make a sound?

Regardless if it's been marked as answered so less people will look at it, the important part is that drhumbra will still get notifications for this (unless there was some auto-unsubscribe function added in my extended absence), so he'll hear the tree fall, hopefully.
I don't feel comfortable using mod powers to change the answer to mine, even if it is agreed upon. I'll wait for drhumbra to do it if he wants.

sorry, I didn't check the post again. Thanks for fixing and correcting the answer. I appreciate it.

That's why Myr Retriever specifically says "another". Otherwise it would be a valid target for itself.

no because they hit the graveyard at the same time and Myr Retriever has no target. Perilous Myr would have to die first.
