Permeating Mass interaction

What happens when Permeating Mass interacts with Wurmcoil Engine? If I block a Wurmcoil Engine with Permeating Mass and I have Rancor attached does wurmcoil die before deathtouch and lifelink take affect?

No. Lifelink and Deathtouch are both static effects that immediately happen when combat damage is dealt.

When combat damage is dealt, Wurmcoil Engine's controller will gain 6 life, and Permeating Mass will have 6 deathtouch damage marked on it, and Wurmcoil Engine will have 3 damage marked on it and Permeating Mass dies. Then Permeating Mass's ability triggers, making Wurmcoil Engine a copy of the Mass with P/T : 1/3. Since the Wurmcoil has 3 damage marked on it, it's put into its owner's graveyard as an SBA, thus dying as well.
