Pariah's Shield and deathtouch

If a creature with deathtouch attacks me and I have a creature equipped with Pariah's Shield, if I choose to not block, the damage goes to the equipped creature, but will the deathtouch kill the creature?
Notably, though, since all combat damage is dealt at the same time during the combat damage step, one creature with deathtouch won't clear the Pariah's Shield creature and let other damage through; it will still take all the damage from that attack for you.

Yes. Pariah's Shield changes what receives the damage, but does not change the source. Your equipped creature will take damage from a source with deathtouch, which will generally kill it.
