Manifest rules question for Titania

If I manifest a land with Whisperwood Elemental and it dies while I have Titania, Protector of Argoth out, will I get an elemental?

If the land is face down it's a creature and nothing else so you wouldn't get a token from titania.

I'd suggest running Conjurer's Closet as a budget way to flip your manifested creatures (if they're lands you want access to, etc).
