Mana cost = 0?

I've been debating with my friend for a few weeks now about these questions:1. Does Rooftop Storm make Zombies cost (0) mana to cast?And...2. Does Animar Soul of Elementals act in the same way? Does it eventually make the cost of creatures drop to (0) as well?

Rooftop Storm allows you to cast Zombie cards for 0 mana, following the rules for paying alternate costs for casting spells. Note that it does not change converted mana cost, only mana cost in terms of what you ultimately pay.

Animar, Soul of Elements creates an effect which reduces the casting cost of creature spells you cast. It can reduce the casting cost of colorless creatures to 0, but it does not reduce color requirements of creature spells you cast.

Also worth noting, Rooftop Storm only changes the mana costs of zombie spells, you still have to exile creatures with cards like Makeshift Mauler and Skaab Ruinator .
