Malakir cullblade

If I have Malakir Cullblade on the field my opponent has 4 small creatures on the field I play Languish does malakir get his counters and not die?

Your Cullblade will not survive, at least not if it's toughness is 4 or lower.
Languish will give all creatures -4/-4, then state-based actions determine which creatures have 0 or less toughness, and those creatures are being put into the graveyard (including your Cullblade). It's ability will trigger for each creature your opponents control that dies as a result, but it won't do you much good, as there's no Cullblade on the battlefield that could get counters when the triggers resolve.
