Lorthos, the Tidemaker

How long do the permanents tapped by Lorthos, the Tidemaker stay tapped? It says untap stepS with emphases on the S.
Unfortunately not as long as you think.
True Lorthos, the Tidemaker has that wording but it also contains the wording controllers', implying that this cards wording is meant for if you choose to tap multiple players' permanents.
It does not mean that permanents stay tapped forever.
So basically it really is only a limited Sleep that can tap non-creature permanents.

I agree. There is only one untap step, and the wording is pluralized to account for the text referring to all potential opponents.

I got a queshon: Does Training Grounds work for Ol' Lorthos' ability? I'mg guessing not, cause i don't see a colon, but that would be dope.

nope, you're right. it's a triggered ability, and as such not affected.

It's just the next untap step. Lorthos allows you to tap permanents controlled by any number (up to 8) of players, so the plural on 'steps' refers to the untap step of the controller of each permanent.
