Interaction between Stern Scolding and creatures with X casting costs

Say I'm casting Ivy Elemental for X = 6, and my opponent casts Stern Scolding to counter it. Will Stern Scolding see Ivy Elemental as a 0/0 or a 6/6 on the stack? Does it only become a 6/6 as it enters the battlefield...? My assumption is that it will be a 0/0 until the spell resolves and it starts to enter the battlefield. Thanks in advance!
Ivy Elemental's ability replace how it will enter the battlefield. On the stack, it is a creature with converted mana cost 7, and power/toughness 0/0. Once it enters it'll become a 6/6 with CMC 1.
This differs from something like Tarmogoyf, which has an ability that actively defines its power/toughness (Characteristic Defining Ability -- CDA). This will affect its power and toughness, even while on the stack.
