Insidious Mist  Flip

Asked by NirTheCatGuy 7 years ago

Lets say I attack with Insidious Mist  Flip, then when he's not blocked I transform him into Elusive Tormentor  Flip, does the defending player is able to cast some sort of a removal spell like Go for the Throat, kill Elusive Tormentor  Flip, and avoid the damage? If so, what benefit can I get from Insidious Mist  Flip abilities? Thanks!

Yes, everyone is allowed to take more actions before the game moves from the Declare Blockers step to the Combat Damage step. If your opponent casts a removal spell of some sort on Elusive Tormentor  Flip, you're also allowed to respond by activating its ability to transform it into Insidious Mist  Flip to protect it.

You can flip it back to mist side by discarding a card and paying 1. You don't deal any damage but you trade your card for their card and keep your dude.

The benefit's of Insidious Mist  Flip is that you can turn into it to stop a kill spell at any time you have the mana and card in hand, and that when you attack with it you get to turn it back into Elusive Tormentor  Flip after blockers are declared so you get a free hit through their defenses. You can also block with Elusive Tormentor  Flip and then transform it into Insidious Mist  Flip to stop an attack from a big creature as long as it doesn't have trample.
