Inkmoth Nexus and Counters

Asked by moz.the.blessed 13 years ago

I have a Curse of Stalked PreyMTG Card: Curse of Stalked Prey on the battlefield enchanted to player A. Then i attack A with my Inkmoth NexusMTG Card: Inkmoth Nexus, then it gets a +1/+1 counter. My question is, will the +1/+1 counter removed at the end of the turn? (When Inkmoth NexusMTG Card: Inkmoth Nexus is no longer a creature) TQ

The counters would stay on the Inkmoth NexusMTG Card: Inkmoth Nexus. Think back to Zendikar block with Raging RavineMTG Card: Raging Ravine, it kept the counters on after it was no longer a creature, I don't see a reason that Inkmoth NexusMTG Card: Inkmoth Nexus would be any different.

+1/+1 counters are just like any other type of counters, they don't care what type of permanent they are on. They will stay on the inkmoth doing nothing for it until it becomes a creature again. You can proliferate them, remove them, etc, just like any other counters.

Llanowar RebornMTG Card: Llanowar Reborn is perhaps a better example than Raging RavineMTG Card: Raging Ravine. Unlike auras, counters have no restrictions on what they can be on.

what about -1/-1 counters? if theres one on a inkmouth nexus does it die via a state based action when they transform it to a creature? or do they get the chance to pump it up again?
