Imp's Mischief vs Bogles

Does Imp's Mischief technically target the object that it's redirecting the other target spell to? I want to know if I can swerve my opponents Path to Exile onto their bogle since they control Path and can legally target it themselves.

Just like it says in the card's text, Imp's Mischief's only target is the "target spell". The play in your example works because your opponent's Slippery Bogle is a legal target for that same player's Path to Exile.

According to the Gatherer Rulings,
"Imp's Mischief only targets the spell being changed, not the original or new target of the spell it is affecting."
Based on that, I'd say you can redirect their Path to their creature, but I'd need a second on that to say it for sure.
