If the cost is being increased, beyond 4, will that be considered appart of teh cmc for Gaddock Teeg to work?

If Thorn of Amethyst raises cost of a 3 cost to 4. Is the converted mana cost than considered 4 for Gaddock Teeg to prevent casting?
Note that the only exception to this are spells. Anywhere but on the stack, X is 0 for converted mana cost purposes. On the stack, X is whatever you set it at for converted mana cost purposes. I didn't really think this was too necessary to explain, though, because Teeg stops those spells from the get-go.

Thanks, that's unfortunate. lol, was on the train of thought of Trinisphere , Thorn of Amethyst , and such to lock down the game to only creatures. and then nuke. still kinda works, though, but not as good as i hoped.

If you're using Trinisphere , note that its effect is always applied last when calculating the total cost of something.

Cards like Thorn of Amethyst does not affect converted mana cost. Converted mana cost is always the amount of mana dictated by the symbols in the upper right-hand corner of a card. A three-CMC spell that, because of Thorn of Amethyst , costs
more to cast, still has a CMC of 3.
