A player gets one poison counter for every point of damage done by a creature with infect. A creature with infect deals damage to creatures in the form of -1/-1 counters. If a player gets 10 or more poison counters, that player loses the game Example: Blighted Agent deals damage to a player: that player gets a poison counter. If Blightsteel Colossus is enchanted with something like Aqueous Form and you deal damage to a player, that player loses the game.

Don't repost questions.
Only players can have poison counters. Poison counters don't add or double themselves. If a player has ten or more poison counters, he or she loses the game as a state-based action.
Infect damage can be dealt to creatures. A creature receives infect damage in the form of that many -1/-1 counters. These counters are exactly like -1/-1 counters from other sources. They don't multiply themselves. They aren't the same as static buffs. They just give -1/-1 each.
