How does Ogre Battledriver and blade of selves interact on the tokens?
Asked by Mr_crazydude 7 years ago
In a typical game of 4 players (yourself and 3 opponents):
I have an Ogre Battledriver on the field equipped with Blade of Selves and attack 1 opponent. This creates 2 tokens attacking the other 2 players as well. The original player gets attacked with a 3/3 ogre, but what about the tokens?
Will the tokens entering the field trigger each other entering? In other words: are the tokens attacking the other 2 players 5/3 (only 1 trigger from the original card) or 9/3 (tokens triggering as well).
The two tokens see the 1 other token and the 1 original, so they only get +4/+0. The tokens do not trigger themselves, as it says "another creature."

Sorry, I got the number of players wrong in my response. I answered as if you had 4 opponents instead of 3. Neotrup has the correct math.

They're 9/3. Because of the way triggered abilities work, things that enter the battlefield at the same time can "see" each other enter and can trigger each others' abilities. Each of the token Battledrivers will trigger the original and the other two tokens when they all enter the battlefield. They each get a total of +6/+0.
